First and foremost Pinal was a rockstar for allowing me to come here, Katie and Jackie from the Jersey facility really worked really hard, to make this happen and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you ladies!
The staff in Cohasset were great, counselors, therapists, case managers and phych worked with me and helped me out alot.
Dhruv and Nick went out of their way to make my stay very pleasant.
Matt took care of everything I could've needed and ran a the place well!
Nursing, housekeeping and kitchen staff also made things a positive experience. The food was great, the facility was spotless and the rooms were huge, private nicely furished.
The grounds were peaceful, private and there was a lot of outside areas to enjoy.

As a family member who helped with the admission process for a loved one at the Avatar Residential Detox Center in Cohasset, I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

From my first call, the 24-hour admissions team was responsive and stayed in communication with me throughout the entire process. They helped with medical records, coordinating ongoing doctor appointments, insurance applications, and all the little details that can become overwhelming very quickly.

I had contacted three other facilities before choosing the Cohasset location, and there really was no comparison when it came to communication and willingness to help. Avatar was by far the most responsive and made a very stressful situation much easier to navigate.

The family meetings with the assigned case worker team were also extremely helpful. They were compassionate and caring, but also honest and firm about what our loved one needed to do to be successful. As a family member, I really appreciated that. Sometimes you need someone to explain what needs to happen, even when it may not be what you want to hear.

I was also very impressed with the entire staff. The medical team, educators, team leaders, case workers, dietitian who helped with food allergies, housekeeping, administration, and support staff all played a part in making us feel that our loved one was in good hands.

There were so many things about this process that I simply didn’t know going into it. Having people there to answer questions and help us understand what to expect took away a lot of the stress and worry.

Most importantly, there was a plan. Not only for the time spent at Avatar, but for what happens afterward. Knowing there is now an outpatient plan in place and continued support after leaving has given our family some much-needed peace of mind.

I would absolutely recommend Avatar Residential Detox Center in Cohasset to any family member or caregiver trying to find help for someone they love. Call them, ask questions, and discuss your options. One of my biggest fears entering Avatar Residential Treatment in Cohasset, was that I would feel uncomfortable, restricted, or confined. My experience turned out to be completely different from what I had imagined. I quickly discovered an environment and a program that were incredibly beneficial to my mind, body, and spirit.

Every member of the staff made a difference. From housekeeping, nursing, counselors and the chef to the administrative team, everyone was knowledgeable, helpful, compassionate, and genuinely kind. You could feel that the people working here truly cared about the individuals they were helping.

From the moment I arrived until the day I left, it was clear how much thought and care had gone into creating a structured, detailed program. The days had purpose, and the combination of meetings, support, education, and guidance gave me tools I could take with me beyond my stay.

I was also incredibly grateful for the way the team worked with both me and my family throughout the process. What I initially feared would be an uncomfortable experience became a place where I felt supported, understood, and able to focus on myself and my recovery.

I left Avatar feeling stronger, clearer, and truly grateful for the experience and for every person who played a part in it. I would highly recommend Avatar Residential Detox in Cohasset to anyone who is ready to take that first step but may be afraid of what treatment will feel like. By far, an amazing place! The staff is incredible, and the food is great as well. I was scared to go at first, but I knew I needed the help. From the moment I arrived, I experienced an incredible level of service, compassion, and support throughout my treatment.
The entire experience was better than I could have imagined. The facility was very clean, and having a private bedroom made the experience even more comfortable.

I’m proud to say that I went from daily alcohol abuse to 43 days sober. I honestly never could have done it without Avatar. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supported me along the way. Thank you, Avatar, for helping me take my life back!
